THE TULALIP REZAnd what a rez it is eh. I was taken back by how efficient the infrastructure is here. There is a bus line that actually runs on schedule and there is not a piece of duct tape anywhere in sight, imagine. I spoke to a tribal member about the “Meth” situation that has hit all our reserves and they are having their problems as well. But I was also told that they beating the meth problem and that’s something I have not heard in my travels thus far, until this week.

For the most part, the Tulalip Rez is a classic example of what good can come from the profits of gaming though. They focused on education, infrastructure and THE PEOPLE. It is very apparent since there is a high quality of life here on this wonderful rez. I like smooth streets and tree lined roads. You can see the pride they have for their community, there is no trash to be seen. The views of the ocean are breath taking their fishing village and marina are to die for. There are great camping sights and they are well prepared for even the most discerning campers in mind. But what a great location with Puget Sound at your doorstep.

There is a world class shopping mall here that has everyone I can think of including Eddie Bauer. Well, I thought that was spiffy anyway. Their casino and bingo palace are immaculate and well visited like their shopping mall. Just an observation eh. Kudos to them seafaring people. Course they will have to drag me out of here kicking and screaming when I’m done with my assignment.

Creativity is the byproduct of a fertile mind
